If you're purporting to teach youngsters how to write, it seems like the least you could do in your own writing is master the use of "I" versus "me". C'mon, now. "So-and-so and I went in there, and they gave so-and-so and me the boot." IT'S JUST NOT THAT HARD, PEOPLE.
