I was vacuuming this evening and heard a huge thunderclap--rattled the windows and made me squeak--but didn't see any lightning. Then I saw on tv that a wax plant was on fire and people much farther away from it than we are also heard and felt it. Pretty weird to realize that's what the noise was, and find the information on tv and the internet so quickly. I guess that should be commonplace by now, but it's still surprising sometimes.
